Thereafter, visit the Todra Gorges, Dades Valley, and the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Moreover, you will cross the High Atlas and the Tizi n Tichka Pass. Finally, the tour ends in Marrakech.
Your 5-day tour in Morocco begins with a friendly welcome at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca or at your hotel. A friendly local representative will be there to greet you.
Then we will embark on a fascinating journey to Chefchaouen, a beautiful town located in the mountains of the Rif in northern Morocco.
When you arrive in Chefchaouen, you'll check into your wonderful hotel/riad and have time to enjoy the city and the incredible blue-painted streets of Chefchaouen. Known for its unique and stunning blue-washed buildings, Chefchaouen is a fantastic place to walk the narrow streets and visit the busy markets, or relax in a tree-lined cafe or restaurant that serves excellent Moroccan food.
You'll end your day in a beautiful riad/hotel, relaxing in the quiet surroundings. What a fantastic way to end an exciting day in Chefchaouen!
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel or riad as you prepare for an unforgettable journey to Fes.
Upon arrival, a knowledgeable local guide will welcome you and lead you through the remarkable sights of this medieval city. Stroll through historic streets, immerse yourself in the captivating history, and admire the stunning architecture.
For lunch, enjoy a meal in the vibrant Medina, where you can savor the authentic flavors and aromas of traditional Moroccan cuisine.
After a day of exploration, retreat to a beautiful riad in the heart of Fes’ old Medina. This charming location offers a peaceful haven amidst the bustling city. As you settle in for the night, take a moment to relax and soak in the enchanting atmosphere of Fes.
After breakfast at your riad, we will depart Fez and head south toward Merzouga for an unforgettable desert experience. Our journey includes a stop at the charming town of Ifrane, where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
Continuing on, we will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and visit a cedar forest. Here, you may spot Barbary apes in their natural habitat. After the forest stop, enjoy a fulfilling lunch at a local restaurant to refuel for the rest of the journey.
Next, we will travel through the stunning Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm tree oasis. Take in the gorgeous landscape as we approach the desert.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in the desert and begin your authentic camel caravan experience. Ride your camel through the impressive Erg Chebbi sand dunes, stopping to watch the magical sunset from a high dune.
After the trek, arrive at a luxurious desert camp where you will be shown to your private tent. Enjoy some tea, freshen up, and prepare for a delightful dinner of local cuisine. In the evening, gather around the campfire as the staff entertain with traditional drumming and Berber music—you even have the chance to join in!
We highly recommend waking up early this morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, then heading back for a delicious breakfast. From there, your choice is to either ride a camel or join a 4×4 vehicle for Merzouga. Your guide/driver should be ready to take you to Dades Gorge next.
On your way, you will discover interesting stops along the way, like the traditional market in Rissani (if you are lucky enough to be visiting on a market day (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday)). You will also enjoy a relaxing walk through the magnificent Todra Gorge and the spectacular view of the Todra River.
As we continue on toward Dades Gorge, you will be amazed by the out-of-this-world rock formations, like monkey fingers. The day will continue with a scenic exploration of the Dades Valley to soak in the beauty of the Gorges before returning to your hotel for the night. You will sleep in a well-furnished hotel for a lovely overnight stay.
After breakfast, we start our day with many incredible sights to encounter. Driving along the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses, also called the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will see many rose-colored adobe kasbahs and fields of crops with hedges of Damascus roses, which are cultivated here for their highly prized fragrant oil.
In Kelaat M’gouna, we will stop at a rose cooperative where you can purchase rose watergifts and gain insight into the process of cultivating roses.
We continue our journey to the Palm Grove of Skoura, then to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, and to the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site
We will have lunch in the village and take a brief visit to the kasbah, where famous movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia were filmed, among many others.
Back on the road, we cross the High Atlas Mountains, which have winding roads that cross the high pass of Tizi n’Tichka at 2260 meters. Here, we can stop to observe the process of making argan oil at a women’s cooperative before driving down to Marrakech’s medina, where this 5-day Morocco tour ends with a drop-off at your accommodation.
Carefully selected lodgings ensure comfort and authenticity throughout the tour. Accommodations may vary based on availability, and upgrades are available upon request.
