The Ourika Valley day trip is our shortest and most popular excursion from Marrakech, famous for its waterfalls, lush landscapes, and traditional Berber villages. Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, the valley is about 64 km from Marrakech and is one of the best-preserved areas in Morocco.
During this day trip, you will explore Berber villages, cross traditional bridges, enjoy panoramic views, and experience the local lifestyle without leaving the comfort of your hotel or Riad. This adventure includes camel rides, guided walks, and visits to Setti Fatma waterfalls.
Pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Drive through the scenic foothills of the Atlas Mountains along the Ourika Valley road. Stop at picturesque villages and viewpoints to admire vibrant landscapes and take photos.
Visit a traditional Berber house in the valley. Enjoy mint tea and a local breakfast consisting of bread, honey, butter, and olive oil. Afterward, ride a camel for approximately 30 minutes to explore the valley from a different perspective.
Continue to Setti Fatma, a popular spot for locals with streams, cliffs, and seven waterfalls. Hike with a local guide to the first waterfall while admiring green terraces and the surrounding Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the natural beauty and take plenty of photos.
Return to Marrakech in the late afternoon and drop-off at your hotel or Riad. Tour ends.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a light jacket. Since the mountains are cooler than Marrakech, it is advisable to wear shoes with a decent grip for the paths.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. 50% charge for cancellations within 24 hours.
