Experience the best of Morocco with our private 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech, designed to offer numerous benefits:
Embark on a private 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech for a genuinely personalized and immersive desert adventure perfectly tailored to your desires.
Start your 4-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes. Depart the city and head towards Ifrane, where you can take a brief 15-minute stop for a cup of coffee before continuing to the cedar forest of Azrou in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Here, you will have the chance to observe the Barbary monkeys. Drive to Merzouga via Midelt and along the Ziz Valley, a valley filled with palm trees.
In the afternoon, arrive at Merzouga and enjoy your stay at a beautiful riad overlooking the town’s golden sand dunes.
Your day of exploration in the Merzouga desert will start with a delicious breakfast in the riad. Your first stop will be the small town of Khamlia, where you can listen to a style of music called Gnawa, which is played by locals from southern Morocco. Next, you will drive off the asphalt to M’Fis, an old village with abandoned galena mines, a mineral once used for mascara.
You will also have the chance to meet a nomadic family living near the Erg Chebbi Dunes and have a cup of tea in a Berber tent they provide. This ethnic group has decided to lead their lives away from civilization, and learning about their way of life is fascinating.
In the afternoon, be ready to ride a camel from Merzouga to your desert camp through high dunes. En route, you will stop on a high dune to try sandboarding while enjoying a stunning sunset. After dinner, relax around a campfire under the starry sky while the camp staff play the drums and happily teach you how to play them. Enjoy a magical night.
Wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over Erg Chebbi dunes, have breakfast, and shower at the desert camp. After that, you ride the camel back to the meeting point in Merzouga. We will continue to Ouarzazate via Rissani and Erfoud.
We will stop in Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marble. There, you will visit the workshop to make marble fossils.
Continue to the Todgha Gorges, which are ideal for walking and exploring on your own. Have lunch, then drive through the Dades Valley and the town of Roses, Kelaa Mgouna.
We continue through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing the Skoura palm grove. Then, we arrive at Ouarzazate. It is called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We check into the hotel/riad.
We head to Aït Benhaddou Kasbah. It is a “fortified Berber village” on the old caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Generally, this site is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The site had been the setting for many films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.
After stopping for a visit, we continue to Marrakech over the high Atlas mountains. Our 4 days Fes to Marrakech desert tour ends with a drop-off at your riad/hotel.
Of course! If you are not keen on riding camels, we have covered you with an alternative. You can relax in the comfort of a 4×4 vehicle at no extra cost, and we will transport you to the camp hassle-free. Your satisfaction is our priority!

We booked a four-day trip from Fes to Marrakech through the Sahara desert. Our driver (Ider) drove a friendly Toyota Jeep, which was very comfy. Ider was very patient and helpful and told us a lot about famous places in Morocco.
We stayed at the hotel for one of the two nights; on the second night, we stayed in the desert in a Sahara desert camp: delicious fresh-cooked food, a lovely atmosphere, Berber songs, and a fantastic campfire. I highly recommend it. Just take longer trips for a better experience. Thank You
My husband and I just finished the 4 day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes (overnight in Dades Valley and the Sahara desert camp in Merzouga). We had an amazing time. A big shout out to Mohamed for making the four days of Fes pass by like a breeze despite all the driving! It was more like traveling with a friend than a guide! Thanks for an awesome experience!!
My wife and I did the 4 days private tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga. Our guide was Ibrahim (not the same Ibrahim as the owner). He made every effort to make the trip truly memorable. After learning we were newlyweds, he left us to have some tea. When he returned a little while later, he decorated the car with streams, flowers, and our names written on the windows! So cool! We even got to visit his family’s home in the desert village of Merzouga and have mint tea with his mother and sister.
By the end of the tour, Ibrahim had become a real friend. The tour was terrific, and we saw many parts of the country, including Atlas mountains, forests, deserts, massive Erg Chebbi sand dunes, snow monkeys, and more. It was a lot of driving, but it didn’t feel like it because there was so much to see and do.
My sister and I did a private 4-day/3-night tour itinerary, starting in Fes and ending in Marrakech. We had a great time! Our 4-day Sahara desert tour was an efficient way to explore everything Morocco offers and allowed us to experience so much more than we would have on our own.
We appreciated getting out of the cities and exploring the different regions throughout the country—from the mountains to the Sahara desert to the coast—we got to see it all! Idir was both our driver and guide, and he was amazing. We felt very comfortable with him from day one, and he went above and beyond to provide us with a positive experience.
He was always on time and did a great job explaining sites/culture/happenings during the drive and at the scheduled stops. He gave us ample time to explore on our own, but at the same time, he was never too far away and was always easily accessible when we needed him. He also dealt with a constant bombardment of questions from us and answered them very well with a smile.
All the stops during our desert tour were well worth the time and very interesting. They do a good job of providing valuable site visits without making anything feel like a waste of time or unnecessary. The accommodations were fantastic—all very clean and comfortable with unique charm.
The camel ride and night spent in the luxury Desert camp were our highlights! Idir and Ibrahim demonstrated exceptional flexibility in accommodating our constantly changing itinerary, particularly when we unexpectedly extended our reservation for an additional two days just 30 minutes before our scheduled final drop-off. They worked with us to accommodate an extension of driver services in real time and personalized it to meet our needs at a reasonable price.
My boyfriend and I did a four-day tour from Fes to Marrakech, including a camel trek through the Sahara with Morocco Camel Trekking. We were looking for a camel trek in the Sahara, and we found Morocco Camel Trekking via TripAdvisor (with nearly 280 5-star reviews).
The tour surpassed our expectations and included much more than we had anticipated! Not only did we spend a night camping in the Sahara desert, but we also spent two nights in beautiful hotels (one in the desert and another in the Dades). Every day of the tour, we visited numerous historical sites (like the UNESCO-protected site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah) and stunning landscapes.
Our Morocco desert trip included all accommodations, breakfasts, dinners, private tours in air-conditioned 4x4s, knowledgeable guides (the owner, Ibrahim, was our guide for two days of our trek!), camel ride, sandboarding, turbans for each of us during the camel rides, and pick-up from Fes and drop-off in Marrakech at our riads. We felt safe and were in good hands with all our guides throughout the tour 4 days trek.
If you’re taking a trip to Morocco, don’t miss out on going on a trek with Morocco Camel Trek! The owner, Ibrahim, can create a tour depending on where you want to start and finish and how many days you have available. We highly recommend this company and tour to all of our friends.
We loved our 4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. From the moment our driver, Mustapha, picked us up, we felt comfortable and taken care of. The itinerary was well organized, and all the stops were interesting. The hotels were comfortable and clean. And be sure to bring your appetite—they keep you well-fed with delicious Moroccan food! Our trip’s highlight was the fantastic desert overnight experience.
All the staff were friendly and kind, and we felt safe. I recommend booking with this company. They make touring Morocco a breeze!
