Our driver will pick you up in Fes at the agreed-upon meeting place. You will begin your 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. The tour finishes in the ancient Medina of Marrakech.
The journey south takes us through fantastic landscapes. We pass through the alpine towns of Ifrane and Azrou. We also visit the cedar forests where the barbary apes live. Then, we travel through mountain passes, oases, gorges, and plateaus.
We will drive down to Midelt, where we will stop for lunch. We will continue south through the pass of Tizi n’Talghemt. We’ll see the mighty Ziz Valley on the right side of the desert. It has thousands of palm trees, adobe kasbahs, traditional berber villages.
As we reach Errachidia, you will see the changes that reveal the approaching desert. We will pass through Erfoud and Rissani and finally go to Merzouga with the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

After lunch, we will continue our journey along the Dades Valley. From there, we will drive up into the Dades Gorge. It’s a unique place where the rock formations look like fat monkey fingers. Rose-colored ancient kasbahs look like majestic sand castles.
We will spend the night in a hotel in the heart of this fantastic location.
After breakfast with typical local homemade bread, we leave this gorge of crazy rocks. We continue along the Dades Valley to reach Kelaat M´gouna, the city of roses. There, we will make a stop so you can see the products of Damascus roses that grow in these valleys.
Then, on to Warzazate, the Hollywood of Africa. Where will we visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinema studio.
After lunch, we will visit the famous Ait Benhaddou. It’s the location of many blockbuster movies and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortress, Kasbah, is one of the largest in Morocco.
We continue our tour and start the journey up through the High Atlas Mountains. We cross the highest drivable pass at Tizi n´Tichka, which stands at 2260 meters of altitude.
The road winds down, passing Berber villages, farmland, orchards, and rivers. We reach the plains below. The Medina of Marrakech marks the end of your three-day trip from Fes to Marrakech.
