Day 1Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley

We will start from Marrakech to Dades Valley at 8 a.m. on the first day of your 4-day tour to Chefchaouen from Marrakech. We drive across the Atlas Mountains via the High Atlas mountaintop n’Tichka pass.

We’ll have time to take in the breathtaking scenery and Berber villages. We’ll also stop at a beautiful location for coffee or mint tea.

In the afternoon, we will visit the UNESCO-designated Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This Berber Kasbah is a popular location for foreign filmmakers.

Then we’ll drive to Ouarzazate, Africa’s Hollywood. After that, we will proceed to Dades Valley. We will pass through the region, of Skoura, where Berber villages surround the valley. Then, we will spend the night in Dades Valley.

Day 2, depart from Dades Valley and stop at Todra Gorges. Then, arrive in Merzouga for camel trekking and camping

After breakfast, we will leave Dades Valley. We will travel to Todgha Gorges, one of Morocco’s most beautiful canyons.

We stop here for lunch before continuing to Merzouga. We pass through spectacular scenery and various oases of palm groves. We proceed via Erfoud (the fossil capital), which is well-known for its fossil factories.

Then we’ll make our way to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We’ll go deeper into the desert till dunes arise out of nowhere. We will meet our camel guide at our hotel.

Then, we'll ride the camels into the desert camp, a camping spot with Berber tents. We stay here under the stars, shining brightly in the clear night sky. Before retiring in a nomad tent, we’ll ascend the dunes and gaze at the stars.

Day 3 Depart from Merzouga to Fes via Ziz Valley and Atlas Mountains

Today, after an early wake-up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, you will have breakfast at the luxury Sahara desert camp. Then we will ride the camels back to Merzouga village, where our driver will be waiting. We will continue our journey to the city of Fes. Before passing by the Ziz Valley and into the high Atlas mountains, we’ll stop for tea with a nomadic family.

We’ll also stop at Midelt for lunch (a mineral-rich town). This village is an awe-inspiring mountain city at 1488 meters altitude. located further down the Jbel Ayachi, which is 3737 meters tall.

We will proceed to Fes via the Cedar Forest and Ifrane. Then, we will arrive and check into our riad.

Day 4 Half Day visit the cultural Fes with a local guide, Fez Chefchaouen

After breakfast on the final day of this tour, you'll have a half-day tour guide. You'll explore the spiritual and cultural medieval city. We’ll visit the renowned Al Quaraouiyine Mosque. It's one of the world’s oldest universities.

We'll soak in the spiritual atmosphere of this holy location. We will stroll through the bustling souks for one-of-a-kind souvenirs. We'll also find authentic Moroccan handicrafts.

After lunch, we’ll head north. We’ll pass beautiful scenery with wildflowers and rolling fields. We’ll make our way to the steep Rif mountains and the secret blue town of Chefchaouen. The 4-day desert tour from Marrakech ends here.

Loved our Morocco tour

Fabulous trip - my favourite. 4 day tour from Marrakech to Chefchaouen met by our very personable driver Idir, luxurious vehicle, driver had great english and knew all the history on this special country. Our Riad stays were amazing, food was delicious, tour was spot on taking us to all the hot spots (and more), fab photo opportunities, desert/camel experience a highlight. Highly recommend all. Felt totally safe at all times
