Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate Merzouga
The 2-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert begins with a pick-up at your Riad at 7:00 am on the first day.
Our journey begins by driving across the high Atlas mountains to visit Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive and well-preserved fortress city was a significant stop for camel caravans, which carried salt across the Sahara and returned with gold, silver, and enslaved people. The Moroccan government began restoration efforts in 1994 to preserve its heritage.

After visiting Ait Benhaddou, we will continue our journey toward Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, famous for its role as a filming location for Hollywood movies.
Next, we will experience the stunning scenery of the Draa Valley as we make our way to Merzouga. We will join our camels for a one-hour trek into the desert upon arrival. We will then reach our Berber desert camp for the night, where you will enjoy dinner and drums around the campfire, and the stars will shine brightly in the desert sky.
Day 2: Merzouga – Boumalne Dades – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Tizi N’Tichka – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes in the Sahara Desert. After enjoying this breathtaking moment, have breakfast and take a hot shower.
After these beautiful experiences, you will ride your camel back to the starting point. We will then depart for Tineghir, passing through Erfoud and Tinejdad, with a lunch break along the way.
We will continue to Todra Gorges via Tinghir in the afternoon, stopping for photos and admiring the stunning views. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to hike and admire the magnificent canyon scenery.
Later, we will drive to Boumalne Dades via Kalaa M’Gouna, stopping for a panoramic view of Dades Valley and the Skoura palm groves. Afterward, we will head to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.
After a lunch break, we will take the road back to Marrakech. We expect to arrive around 6 or 7 pm. Your driver will drop you off at your chosen location, concluding our 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
