Our amazing 4-day Marrakech desert tour started with a pick-up in Marrakech. Today we left for Dades Gorges. We drove through the Tizi N'Tichka pass at 2260 m in the High Atlas mountains.
We will enjoy the scenic road in the mountains. It has beautiful landscapes with different colors. We will pass a few Berber villages on the way to Ouarzazate.
We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Then we continue to Ouarzazate to visit “Taourirt Kasbah,” and we will have lunch there.
After that, we travel farther southeast to the Dades Valley. We pass the Valley of Roses and the fascinating Skoura palmary. We stay for dinner and overnight in Dades Gorges in a local riad/hotel.
Today, our 4-day desert trip from Marrakech continues, and we explore the Dades Valley. We drive towards Tinghir and the Toudra Gorges. We will walk in the Gorges, the famous canyons for climbers.
Afterward, we departed for Erfoud, passing Palm Grove. We may visit a fossil shop and factory in Erfoud.
Then we continue to Rissani and the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. We prepare for a camel ride into the desert, and we enjoy the desert sunset here. Furthermore, we spend the night in the middle of the dunes to enjoy dinner around the campfire. We stay at night in a luxury desert camp.
Today, woke up early to catch the desert sunrise in Merzouga. After breakfast and a hot shower, we return by dromedaries to the village.
Afterward, we drive towards Ouarzazate through many Berber villages. We pass by Rissani, a traditional old market. We will walk and wander around this typical weekly market.
After leaving Rissani, we will head to Alnif, where we will have our break stop for coffee, and lunch will be in Nkob. Right after we head to Agdez along the Draa Valley, we arrive at Ouarzazate. We will stay here in a local hotel or riad for dinner and breakfast.
On our last day of the 4 days from Marrakech to Merzouga, we leave in the morning. We head towards Marrakech, passing Tizi N Tichka Pass. We would have some stops on the way to relax and enjoy the views of the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages. Arrive in the afternoon in Marrakech, where the private 4-day Merzouga desert trip finishes.
