Our 5-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech will start from your Riad at 8:00 am. So, you will travel through the middle of Atlas. You will pass through Ifran, known as “Moroccan Switzerland,” and Azrou. We will stop at the cedar forest and see Barbary apes.
From here, we drive further south, passing by Timhdit and Zaida. Our next stop is in Midelt for lunch. Later, we continue our drive. We cross the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907 m). We enjoy the panoramic views.
We then have a break in the Ziz Valley to see the most impressive and longest valley in Morocco.
Our journey continues to Merzouga via Erfoud, through the oasis of Tafilalet. We then arrive in the afternoon and check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast in the hotel, you will start to explore the desert area. You will visit nomads in their goat-hair tent and learn about desert life.
After that, you will visit the Gnaoua people. They were initially enslaved people brought from Sudan. Here, you will get to listen to their music and learn about their culture and lifestyle.
After a delicious Berber pizza, we will drive to the hotel to relax. Then, you will get ready to ride the camels to the desert camp. You will enjoy the beauty of the Sahara Desert and the sunset over the golden dunes.
After sunset, you will eat dinner at the camp. You will sleep there in a private tent.
Today is the highlight of the 5-day Fes to Marrakech tour. You wake up early to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the Merzouga dunes in the Sahara Desert.
After that, you have your breakfast and shower. Following this, you embark on a camel ride back to the hotel. We leave towards Tineghir, passing by Erfoud and Tinghir. Have a break for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra Gorges. We will stop along the way for photos and admire the views. Arrive at Todra Gorges to see its marvelous canyon views. Hike there on foot.
Finally, arrive at the Dades Valley. There, we will have dinner and spend the night in the hotel.
This morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we leave for Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stopping for a panoramic view of the Dades Valley, then another photo stop near the Dades Gorges.
After that, we will continue through the Dades Valley until the Kasbah of Ait Youl. The track road crosses the Rose Valley with its Kasbah and Ksours. Here, you can see lovely landscapes before you get to Kalla Mgouna.
We will have lunch soon. Then, we will leave for the Palme groves of Skoura. We will visit the Kasbah of Amredile.
Then, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will have dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.
After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate following our visit to the Atlas studios. Thereafter, we drive for 30 minutes to the Majestic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah.
Here, we will explain Kasbah. It has fascinating views. They shoot many movies there, like Game of Thrones and Gladiator.
After lunch, Kasbah, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains. We will take the highest road pass in Morocco, Tizi N’Tichka, which is 2260 m high. It offers excellent views of valleys, mountains, and many Berber villages.
