Day 1: Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque – Rabat- Chefchaouen

This 9 day Morocco tour starts by meeting you at the airport. We will then head out to explore the most visited site in Casablanca: the Hassan II Mosque. We will then experience the coastal corniche seaside. Then, we will leave for northern Morocco for Chefchaouen through the Rif mountains, “the blue city,”  where you will spend the night in a riad/hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes

You will have a free morning in the blue city on the second day. You can explore the magic and the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Besides its Kasbah, which lies in the heart of the town, you will also see the whole city from one of its towers. Besides, there is a place called Rass El Maa, where people gather and have fun enjoying nature.

After lunch in a local restaurant, we will drive to Fes, the cultural city of Morocco. We will spend the night in a riad in the old Medina.

Day 3: Fes guided tour

After breakfast in your riad, you will explore the old Medina of Fes ( Fes el Bali) with a knowledgeable guide. Our first site is the Royal Palace, with its seven renowned bronze gates. Then, we’ll walk through the famous Jewish quarter, “the Mellah.” Besides, we head to the South Tower to enjoy a fantastic panoramic view over the Medina of Fes.

Afterward, being in Fes is a chance to experience the ceramic factories and see handmade tiles.

After that, you will visit the hidden treasures only inhabitants know about. You will have a chance to see Al Quaraouiyine and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. And the Nejjarine Fountains and the Tanneries. Overnight in a riad/hotel.

Day 4: FesIfrane – Middle atlas – Erfoud – Merzouga desert

After breakfast in your riad, we will leave for the south of Morocco. During this journey, you’ll have a chance to stop in Ifrane, a place known as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Then, continue to the biggest cedar forest in Africa, where you will see barbarian apes. After lunch in Midelt, we will cross the middle Atlas Mountains and head toward the Merzouga Desert.

Thereafter, we will reach Ziz Valley, famous for date cultivation. Here, we will pause for breathtaking landscapes. Finally, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, and you will ride camels across the erg Chebbi dune to our desert Berber camp. On the way, you pause to see one of the best sunsets ever. Then, you will have dinner and a lovely night under a starry sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Your camel guide will wake you early to watch the best sunrise. After a hot shower and breakfast at the camp, you will ride the camel’s back or 4WD.

Afterward, we’ll leave for Erfoud, the capital of fossils. Then, we’ll go to Tinghir to enjoy one of the magnificent valleys in southeast Morocco, the Todra Valley. Then, drive alongside it till we get to Todra Gorge, where you will walk inside cliffs of 300 m. Finally, we will drive to Dades Valley, where our hotel stands.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mountain  Marrakech

After breakfast, we will leave Dades Valley. Then, we will see the Roses Valley, the road of thousands of Kasbahs, and the large Skoura palm grove. Later, we’ll get to Ouarzazate, which is the “Hollywood of Africa.” We’ll stop in the center to enjoy Taourirt Kasbah from outside. Thirty minutes from Ouarzazate, we will be at the ksar (fortified village) of Aït Benhaddou. It is a famous Kasbah. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1987. This spectacular stage has hosted filming for famous films. They include Gladiator, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Game of Thrones, and Sahara—free time for lunch in town.

Afterward, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, tizi N Tichka, and pass the highest point in North Africa, stopping to see Berber villages and landscapes. We will then continue to Marrakech, where we will spend the night in a riad in the Medina.

Day 7: Explore the city of Marrakech

After breakfast in the riad, we will explore Marrakech Medina with a local guide. Known as “the Red City of Morocco, ” it is a place of great historical and cultural significance. We will ensure you see the most important sites, including Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Gardens, the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia mosque, and the Bahia Palace. 

After lunch, you will walk through the souks at a restaurant near the Jemaa el Fna square and view hundreds of handicrafts.

We will also drive outside the Medina to visit the Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander around the city.

Day 8: Marrakech a day trip to Essaouira

Today, you will have a chance to visit the coastal city of Essaouira before you see an argan oil cooperative. Then, at Essaouira, the citadel is near the beach and Scala port. You will have free time to explore Essaouira by wandering around its streets. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech.

Day 9: Marrakech – Transfer to the airport

Today, after breakfast, we will drive to the airport, whether to Marrakesh or Casablanca, where this 9 days tour of Morocco ends.
