Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca Rabat

Our driver will meet you at the Casablanca airport. Depending on your arrival time, our driver will take you on an exploration trip; you will see the Cornish and Hassan II mosque, which is considered the world’s third largest mosque.

 

We will continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you will have the chance to see the Kasbah of Udayas, Hassan Tower, and Mohammed 5 mausoleum before you go to your Riad/Hotel in the heart of the Medina.

Day 2: Rabat – Asilah – Rif Moutains – Chefchaouen

After that, we will continue over the foothills of the Rif Mountains to Chefchaoun and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 3: Exploring Chefchaouen

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast, you will head to Fez via the Rif mountains and Volubilis, the Roman site. There, you will take a guided tour of the site and learn about the Roman Empire; you will see the beautiful mosaics in Morocco that date back to the 3rd century BC.

We will stop in Midelt for lunch; after that, we will continue along the Ziz Valley and stop for panoramic views to give you a chance to take pictures. We will pass by Erfoud and Rissani. Here, we will visit the weekly market.

When you arrive in Merzouga at the end of the day, your hotel will welcome you with a glass of mint tea.

Day 7: Merzouga desert – Erg Chebbi dunes – Camel ride & night in the camp

After breakfast, we will start our journey by visiting the Gnaoua people, enslaved initially people brought from Sudan, to enjoy their music and lifestyle. We will drive over the dunes in a 4×4 car. You will meet nomad families still living in Berber tents and explore their way of life. You will have a local “Berber pizza” meal for lunch.

After that, you may have some free time to relax, and in the afternoon, you will ride your camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon your arrival at your desert camp, you will have dinner under the stars while enjoying Berber music around the campfire.

Day 8: Merzouga dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

You must wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes and take pictures of the best sunrise moment of your life.

After having breakfast and a fresh shower in your desert camp, we will return to Merzouga and continue our journey to Dades Valley. We will see the narrowest gorge in Morocco as you walk on the canyon of Todra Gorges.

After lunch, you will enjoy a guided walk through the gorges and nearby mud villages to meet locals and learn about their culture. We will continue to Dades Valley, where you will spend the night.

Day 9: Boumalne Dades – Rose Valley – Skoura oasis – Ouarzazate

Following breakfast at your hotel, we will drive through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate, passing by the Road of Thousand Kasbahs and Kelaat M’gouna, allowing you to take many pictures. You may want to stop in Kelaat Mgouna, “the city of roses,” to buy rose water; it will make you smell good long after your trip ends.

We will continue to Skoura to visit the Amridil Kasbah and then stop for lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant. We will then continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa,” which attracts many world-class movie producers. Overnight, we will be at the hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will head to Marrakech. First, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the studio movies. You will not visit Ouarzazate without going to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO world heritage site Thami Elglaoui built at the end of the 19th century.

 

After that, we will continue through the majestic Tizi N’Tichka Pass in the high Atlas Mountains. There will be plenty of stops to enjoy the views and take pictures. We will arrive in Marrakech to spend the night at your Riad in the Medina of Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech Sightseeing

Your guide will take you to historical sites such as the famous Jamaa Lafna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs, the El Badi place, and the Bahia Palace. We will start our trip around 9:00 a.m. from you, Riad. After a short drive into the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, we will take the road along the Ourika valley. As we move through the hillsides, we will stop to see the breathtaking landscapes full of vibrant colors.
Our second stop will be in the traditional house of a Berber family. The family opens its home to visitors who wish to enjoy its surroundings. The family will welcome you by offering tea and serving their local food.

After that, we will continue to the famous Setti Fatma, the favorite weekend destination for many Moroccans. Highly appreciated for its seven waterfalls, you will explore the region, which still practices a medieval agricultural tradition, and walk around the valley to give you the chance to take pictures.
