A private 2-night camel trek in Merzouga offers a unique and immersive desert experience with several advantages:
Personalized Experience: With a private trek, you have a guide dedicated to your group, allowing for a more tailored and flexible experience. You can adjust the pace, schedule, and activities to suit your preferences.
Exclusive Comfort: You’ll have the opportunity to stay in private desert camps, ensuring a more intimate and comfortable setting compared to group tours. This often includes better amenities and personalized service.
Enhanced Privacy: A private trek allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the desert without the presence of other tourists, providing a more serene and personal experience.
Customized Itinerary: You can work with your guide to create an itinerary that fits your interests, whether it’s stargazing, exploring specific parts of the desert, or learning more about local culture and traditions.
Dedicated Attention: Your guide can provide more detailed explanations and insights about the desert environment, the Berber culture, and the history of the region, enriching your overall experience.
Flexibility in Activities: You can opt for additional activities such as quad biking or visiting local nomad families, which might not be available in standard group tours.
Overall, a private camel trek offers a more exclusive, flexible, and personalized way to experience the stunning Merzouga desert and its surroundings.
This camel trek will start in the afternoon, depending on your arrival time, and the camel guide will take you to our camp in the middle of Erg Chebbi dunes. When you get to the camp, you will first get your private tent (one Berber tent for every two persons or a family), then you will climb the highest dune to watch the sunset, take photos, and come back to the camp, where you will have dinner in a Berber.
After a great dinner, we will build a campfire. Then, we will play drums and sing the Berber traditional songs. Overnight stay at Nomadic Camp.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will have about an hour to reach our next stop. It’s a small oasis with some trees. We will have lunch there and spend the whole day there. We will climb the tall dune to do sandboarding and see the sunset over Erg Chebbi.
After sunset, we return to our tent to spend our second night. We have a delicious dinner and music. You can enjoy watching the stars.
In the morning, you will wake up to watch the sunrise with the many different colors in the dunes! and then you will have breakfast at the camp, then head back to the hotel where this camel ride ends.
