Day 1: Fes - Midelt - Todra Gorge
This 3 day round trip from Fes takes you through some of Morocco´s most amazing and diverse scenery. After an early breakfast we leave the medieval city of Fes for the Todra Gorge. We pass through Ifrane to arrive in the great cedar forests of Azrou where you will be able to watch the wild indigenous Barbary monkeys and take the opportunity to photograph some of the wild life in Morocco. A traditional delicious lunch will be in a small Berber village of Zaida.
Then we will continue our adventure as we drive through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Midelt and on to the small town of Rich, and then we pass through the famous town of Imilchil before arriving in the Todra Gorge in evening. With its 300 metre high vertical walls, this gorge is pretty spectacular, crystal clear waters flow and flora abound. You will spend the night in a hotel in the gorge with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Todra Gorge - Merzouga
After an early breakfast, we drive from Todra Gorge to Merzouga. Along the way are scattered many adobeBerber villages. We will pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will see the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Then we continue to Merzouga, from there we ride the camels in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Before we reach our desert camp, we leave the camels and walk to the highest dune to see the sunset. Dinner is served in a Berber tent with traditional local music. You may be able to see the stars overhead. This is a memorable experience and one that we recommend for everyone to discover at least once in their lifetime.
Day 3: Merzouga - Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Fes
After an early alarm call to watch the sunrise,we will ride the camels back to Merzouga. Then after taking a shower and enjoying the breakfast, we'll drive back to Fes, through the Middle Atlas Mountains, visiting the mighty Ziz Valley, also Midelt, Azrou and finally we arrive in Fes where our tour finishes.
