Your Marrakech to Fes desert trip begins with a timely 8:00 AM hotel/riad pickup in Marrakech. Departing from the capital, your journey will take you southeast, across the breathtaking High Atlas mountains, which provide magnificent views of traditional Berber villages. Lunch is served in the picturesque village of Ait Ben Haddou, where you will also visit the old and iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Since 1987, this fortified settlement has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has served as the setting for countless great films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, and Gladiator.
Continuing your journey, a brief stop in Ouarzazate allows you to see Africa’s largest film studio (optional inside tour).
